Hymenodictyon floribundum (Fire Bush) is a rare indigenous small tree valued for its medicinal bark, vibrant seasonal leaf coloration, and high ecological importance in restoring degraded highland ecosystems. Naturally occurring on rocky slopes and forest edges, it produces showy terminal flower spikes that attract bees and pollinators. It is one of the specialized native species conserved and propagated at APRCC's Silver Oak Mazingira Hub project in Kisii.
